The House of Representatives’ Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) has asked the Minister of Niger Delta Affair, Sen. Godswill Akpabio to respond to an allegations that N80.5 billion has been misappropriated at the NDDC. The committee also summoned the acting Managing Director of the NDDC, Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei and the Managing Director of AHR Global Service.
The resolution was reached at after an investigative hearing on the NDDC’s finances held on Friday in Abuja. The House issued the summons after officials of the agency ignored an earlier to invitation to appear before the committee.
Olubumi Tunji-Ojo (APC-Ondo), chairman of the House’s Committee on the NDDC, ruled that NDDC officials must appear before the committee on Monday, July 20 to provide answers to countless allegations of fraud and misappropriation of funds at the NDDC.
